Tempo Advantage : Quality Methodology
Quality is designed into the system and tracked at each stage of processing. Our quality assurance process begins during the first project discussion with our customer. We work with our customers to design a process that gets their data returned within their timeframe in a format that works with their existing investments in technology. During the programming, testing, project ramp up, and even into production, Tempo continuously searches for ways to add edits, validation tables, and other tools that help to foster quality throughout the workflow.

Although we employ a quality review process to measure data accuracy, we do not feel that quality is simply a department that audits keyed data. Our philosophy is to design each step of our process to focus on quality. By doing this, we can produce better quality data faster. Below are some of the tools we use to incorporate quality throughout the production cycle:

• Multiple edit checks in every field possible (both first and second pass) to ensure front-end quality checks.
• Second/verify pass is keyed “blind”.
• Any changes to what the first operator keyed is double keyed by the second operator ensuring any changes made were done so deliberately.
• After the work has been keyed and verified, the batch is processed through a Quality Assurance program that verifies data entry edits and makes additional verifications such as field length size, duplicate records within a given batch, etc. If errors are identified, an error report is generated, the error is corrected and the work is processed again through the QA program.
• Finally, another process of data scrubbing is performed before the batch is output into the correct format per the project specification.
